Hi there, I’m Vini

I'm a second language learner of te reo Māori, having started my learning at Victoria University in 2008. Since then, the Māori language and its revitalisation have become my sole driver in life. It's what makes me happy!

I have a PhD in te reo Māori and hold a license to translate. 

I was an academic until 2024, and am now casting my net to my wider whānau outside of the university too.

I live in the Lower Hutt area with my whānau. We are currently changing our home language towards te reo Māori and Tokelau!
